Deuces! What Real Peace is?

The other night I had this overwhelming urge to write about peace and explain it the way I have been experiencing it lately.  I am always reminded of the parable (in our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth), about Jesus and the disciples on a boat, and the storms and winds are blowing like crazy but Jesus is down in the bottom of the boat chillin'.  He really was asleep, I guess after having to heal and cure all those sick people He was a little exhausted.  Aren't you after a long days work?  Well anyway, the disciples are afraid because of this terrible storm, so they go and awake their Master in a frantic to do something about it.

Fast forward to the 21st century and how we can apply this story to our daily lives.  I am a sole believer in making this applicable to situations that I experience on day to day bases.  My life has been turned upside down since being terminated from my job back in 2008.  But what is so amazing is that, this situation has taught me the art of peace and all of the components it entails.  When it is raining, our usual protection is an umbrella.  The umbrella keeps you shielded from most of the rain.  Now if you are caught without one, you will get wet.  But why worry when you have one? That's what peace is...

Peace...understands that through the storms and the rain, that you are protected.  It is also comprehending that you are protected no matter what happens or what is going on around you.  But there is a disclaimer to this peace thang; you can only have peace if you believe in Jesus Christ --->He is the Prince of Peace and your protection from the rain.  Rain could be synonymous to trials, adversity, tribulations, obstacles, hard times, and anything that causes you to worry.  Peace is making a decision to NOT worry because you know that everything is going to be ok.  SO go ahead and throw the deuces up.  You may not be able to control your circumstances, but you can control your attitude.  I promise you that everything that I am writing has been tested on me.  Yes, I was the crash dummy!  And you know what, I haven't been broken yet..so if I can handle it and endure it, you can to with your experiences.
