Facebook has an application called "My Year in Status." This application collects your most popular statuses and compiles them into one. I think everyone should have this application collect their statuses over the past year. People do NOT realize that words are powerful. Words express your inner most thoughts; who you are, and what you stand for. The most important point that I would like readers to know or remember is that there is an attraction in the Universe that helps to shape your life. There are laws that govern this Universe and your words are a part of the formula. I am attracting love, peace, and of course wealth!
Researching and dissecting what success is and what is not has allowed me to make a simple conclusion about it. Many people think that it comes in a Big package with a red bow on it. Many believe that it is a zillion dollars in the bank without having a care in the world. And some believe that it is being known by many people who they don't or will ever know. Being in a society of instant gratification, we always miss the most important components of success or what being successful is all about.
We forget that we must pay our dues. Meaning Hard Work is the element needed to achieve anything great. I was sitting here thinking about the last two years of my life. Honestly, it has been bitter sweet.
Bitter meaning I have to always count the cost before making a decision involving finances.
Sweet meaning that I have been able to pursue and walk in my purpose. Entrepreneurship and writing has always been what I have been commissioned to do and be. I am so grateful that I am doing what I absolutely love to do. When I reminisce, I am reminded of wearing my mother's heels to teach my sisters (they will tell you I was always the teacher). I am reminded of writing in my journals and creating short stories, just because. I am reminded of being an A student in one of the hardest English teacher's class at the high school I attended. So the sweet trumps the bitter when you take a look at it like that.
Anything worth having or being great at, will take more Hard Work than you'll ever know. While you are toiling, pushing, and being relentless, that is when you are at your best. This is what Success is...

Journaling has become a new part of what I LOVE to do. It is different from blogging and keeping a diary. It is random thoughts…and your maturity charted. Itallows me to track my progress in life, relationships, and my spirituality. The more re-discovering I do, the more I realize that I am totally not who I thought I was. I have been removed from my vocabulary. Now that I know better, I must do better. The more information that I discover; the more I feel obligated or required, to share it. Knowledge is awareness. It is information that is valuable. It is not logic, opinions, concepts, or theories. It is knowing and learning something brand new that is factual. It assists wisdom. Without knowledge, you can not be wise. It unlocks the door to wisdom. Wisdom is knowing without

Every relationship--family, friendship, love & marriage-is about growth and development. There are certain skills & strengths we must develop. If life is about learning and growing, why do we think our relationships are beyond life's classroom?
Disappointments
Through disappointing situations, I learned the value of anticipation, confidence, and long suffering. In my Disappointments class, I learned, everyone has a due season. Just because u think u r deserving of something doesn't mean u r ready 4 it.
Betrayal
Betrayal is presented with half truths and intentional deceit. Because of grace & mercy. I was able to pass this class. But the Betrayal was a difficult class and the hardest to pass.
Work
Work is just what it is and it is only a means to an end. I was so caught up with work and corporate drama; I was constantly pulled away... ...from really tapping N2 my talents and utilizing it as a resource. "Work" and not a career will do that to u.
So remember, work is what it is and if you are pursuing a goal/career outside of work, see it through until that goal is accomplished.
Selfishness
This was another class that almost stopped me from graduating to the next part of my life.
I realized that if I wanted to graduate, I had to apply unconditional love 2 my life. I also thought that I should be happy while someone else suffered. This course taught the definition. Emotional human love is selfish and I thought I deserved happiness based off that theory alone.
Reality
All life's answers lie within but we must nourish ourselves with positivity, it's the only way 2 pass. Since your mind will respond 2 what is said 2 it, speak 2 the conditions N your life. This was my reality.
Sacrifice
If U really want 2 know what U believe, look at the people-conditions-& situations N your environment. They R the reflection of your own B.S. There must be a genuine, loving support for the "self" 2 make a change. When U support yourself N making needed changes, U R supporting your own growth. Growth is the commitment 2 being, doing & having the best. “It takes a deep commitment 2 change & an even deeper commitment 2 grow.” Ralph Ellison
